Mazda Demio Stardust Pink Limited Edition

used mazda demioElegant Cars Mazda Demio
The Mazda Demio all began when the Ford Motor Company approached Mazda in regards to create a small car for its B-segment market. The result of this cooperation was realized with the introduction of the Ford Festiva in 1987. Using the same platform, Mazda developed the Autozam Revue in 1990. That was later sold as the Mazda 121 in the majority of markets. Although the Festiva was redesigned in 1993, it was still largely based on the same platform as before.

In 1996, after the redesign and modifications, Mazda came up with a tall hatchback type model. This even resembled a smallish mini van. The Mazda Demio surprised everyone when it hit the market place for the first time. It was a smashing success in its naïve Japan, producing some very impressive sales numbers.

The brand new design of the Demio in 1996 used the DW platform for its production model. Sold under the nameplates of the 121 outside Japan, and Metro in the Australian market. The new Mazda Demio incorporated a redesigned exterior and also a cabin air filtration system that were done in 2000. They also returned to and automatic transmission, which proved to be more popular then the standard or manual variety. The original model under the DW platform was manufactured in Mazda's Columbian facilities. It was later replaced by their DE model, the Mazda 2.

In 2002 the Demio was remade based on the DY platform and while the Demio name was still used through out Japan, it was known as the Mazda2 in the rest of the world. Along with the newly named Mazda2, the Demio became widely recognized as a very fun and also extremely practical car to drive. This helped Mazda elevate its Japanese domestic sale to seventh place.

All these new Demios come complete with ABS (anit-locking braking system) and a unique stability control system was an added option. Mazda also offered the Demio in a hybrid version that incorporated an electric engine at the back to provide power to the rear wheels when the front ones began to spin. Although this added option did give the Demio added traction and control, it did nothing in increase its fuel efficiency.

The trim levels that Mazda made available where each specifically targeted to the different demographics that made up the market place. They had a casual design for the young families. The cozy was designed for single women and also came with special paint colors and a canvas sun roof was offered as an option. The last one that Mazda added was the sport model designs. Of course, this model was targeted at young men specifically. All these varieties and options were only available for the Japanese market.

In 2007 Mazda made a radical departure from the 2002 Demio models. They created what was to be known as a 'micro sport coupe'. Sold under the banner of the Mazda2 else where, it was still recognized as the Demio in Europe and Japan. The newly designed Demio or Mazda2 was constructed using the DE platform. It employed light weighted materials and reduced over size. Mazda also developed a new 1.3 L and 1.5 L engines that came standard with a five speed manual or four speed automatic transmissions.

5 2.0 i sport tech timesMazda cx 7 Sport Tourer
The RX-8 is Mazda's follow-up to the classic RX-7 eight years after they ceased production of it. Mazda launched the first Mazda RX-8 for sale in 2003, and has made one every year since. While the car still boasts the trademark rotary engine, the RX-8 has never managed to capture the American car buyer's imagination the way that the RX-7 once did. The 2010 Mazda RX-8 is an amazing performer in some scenarios, and it has gone a long way toward changing perspective. However, it still has some unfortunate issues, and thus a long way to go.

The Mazda RX-8 is a rear-hinged 2-door 4-seat coupe available at three trim levels: Sport, Grand Touring, and R3. The "base" Sport package includes 18-inch wheels, performance tires, cruise control, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, a 6-speaker CD stereo system, and an auxiliary audio jack. There is also a rear-lip spoiler, but it is only available on manual-transmission models.

The only option, a touchscreen navigation system with voice commands, is available for the GT only.

The premium, high-performance R3 trim includes much, but not all, of what is in the GT trim. For instance, the keyless ignition and entry, Bluetooth connectivity, xenon headlights, and the audio system, are there. Old Used Cars

With gas prices flirting with all time highs and the economy going "who knows where," who isn't looking to save money on gas? It's a common misconception that older cars get worse mileage than their counterparts of today, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

To most drivers, being seen in a 15 year old car lacks a certain degree of "coolness," but in reality most could use the extra money saved by driving an older car. How is that possible you might ask? Despite the day-to-day upkeep required of older vehicles, they are in fact money savers in the long run. Older cars can often be found cheap enough to purchase outright. Who really wants another monthly payment? Insurance is usually much cheaper and the fuel costs over time will save you a bundle. Granted it's hard to forget the day you drive a shiny new dream car off the lot, but in reality many of us cannot afford to do so.

The key when shopping for an older used car is to look around. The following list will help you get started and shows fuel the consumption in miles per gallon (mpg) of older used cars. You can see the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius of the early 2000's remains unmatched to this day in terms of fuel mileage but despite all the hype about Hybrids, older cars remaining on the list shows the automotive industry's lack of progress in the last 25 years.

Vintage Classic Cars

Vintage cars are generally defined as cars manufactured till the end of the First World War. There are some variations though, as the cut-off is 1925 in America whereas it is 1930 in Britain. Cars were in a state of transition during the vintage period hence particular models are rarities which are worth collecting. People with a strong sense of history or an affiliation with that time period are generally interested in vintage cars. Due to the great demand for vintage cars they are pretty expensive, especially if they are maintained in a great condition. The time period of vintage cars is characterized by the introduction of many features which made the cars more comfortable and heralded the transition in automobiles. These features include the likes of Antifreeze; to allow cars to be used all year round, four-wheel braking, as well as the use of hydraulically actuated brakes and power steering; for better handling. Octane rating of fuel was also introduced to enable people to compare between fuels.

Classic cars are cars that may belong to a period a little later than that of vintage cars but the exact period for these cars is not clearly defined. The Classic Car Club of America, however, holds that only cars manufactured before 1948 can be deemed to be classic. The club maintains a list of all classic cars and members can file a petition to include other cars in the list, after scrutiny from the club. Classic cars are generally expensive with factors such as engine displacement, custom coachwork and luxurious accessories affecting the price. For the Classic Car Club of America the cars recognized as classics were built in limited quantity and were relatively expensive when they were new. They are said to represent a pinnacle of engineering, styling and design of that era hence their categorization as classics according to the club.

Classic Car Gallery

There is a timeless appeal about a classic old car. These cars have outlasted fads and trends and are conversation starters wherever they go. Models that are no longer in active production, that boast of a well maintained body, a smooth running engine and all the car peripherals in perfect condition are few and far between. Classic car galleries both online and in print are one way to find out which old time cars are available in the market and for how much. It is difficult setting a price for the car. Market availability and condition are primary deciders of the value. The more rare and well maintained, the higher the price. Of course one must remember that classic cars do not appeal to everyone. Only those who have an honest appreciation of the intricacies of a classic car will value the automobile.

Information regarding the year, make, specifications and car interiors are described in detail. In fact browsing through a classic car gallery is often like stepping into a time machine and hurtling back into years gone by. We can almost visualize the evolution of automotive technology, how each model was an improvement upon the last, how human endeavor strove to better their previous achievements each time setting new standards of speed and comfort and fuel efficiency. The trajectory of automobile history can be traced through these cars. The preponderance of the German vehicles, the large, comfortable American models, the sleek Italian cars, the pragmatic French Cars....each distinct, each reflective of the times in which they were engineered as they showcase the attitudes and sensibilities of that time.
